What to Expect

When It’s Time to Say Goodbye

Veterinarian arrives

Dr. Gilabert will text you before the appointment to let you know she is on her way.

When she arrives, she will take the time to answer all your questions, and make both you and your pet comfortable.

Gentle sedation

When you and your pet are ready, your pet will be given a sedative to keep them comfortable and calm.

This ensures that they will be sleeping peacefully when it comes time for the final injection.

Euthanasia

The word “euthanasia” means “good death.”

Though we never want to say goodbye, a painless and peaceful ending is the last gift we can give our pets.

A final goodbye

Once the final injection has been given, you may take as much time with your pet as you need.

You may choose to have Dr. Gilabert step out during this time, or stay with you.

One more car ride

If you would like your pet to be cremated, Dr. Gilabert will lovingly transport your pet’s remains.

Your veterinarian

As a courtesy, Dr. Gilabert will notify your veterinarian of your pet’s passing.

When it’s time to say goodbye, we’re here for you.
